Intermediate clubs will  focus on the fundamentals and techniques of surfing, such as using your body for momentum, learning to turn, cut backs, reading the waves, wave selection, and much more. The intermediate level is a great place for surfers to grow their surfing, challenge their skills and go beyond limitations.

Bring: Board, wetsuit, leash, water, towel, basically your own beach gear

Type of Board: At this level the surfers have progressed beyond a foam board if they were using one.  We do not have size requirements as long as the surfer can be responsible for their board and carry it.  They will begin to learn duck diving and turtle rolling depending on the size of their board.

Wetsuit: During the winter we suggest a 4’3 so your kids will stay comfortable in the water and not get out early during their 1.5 hr practice time. During spring and summer many kids will continue to wear a 3’2 so they can stay in the water for at least an hour.
