One More Wave participates in a scholastic series through Soul Surf Elementary Team Comps. We are currently offering competitive Surf teams, categorized into an A Team, and a B Team and include both boys and girls on each team. We practice as a team and compete as a team. The teams are open to all u12 competitors.
This is a great platform for new competitors to become familiar with the idea of competition. For the more seasoned competitors this is a great opportunity and forum to get more practice at great surf breaks, but to also feel the encouragement of a team .
Team competitions provide a team atmosphere in the context of surfing. Despite the fact that surfing is predominantly an individual sport, the value of this opportunity to compete collectively and in a team environment gives the kids something to work towards and achieve in the spirit of team and community. Accountability, punctuality, dedication,commitment and many other qualities are emphasized when participating in a team environment. These qualities go a long way to shape the individual and provide building blocks to future success in all areas of life.
The price to participate will depend on the price of the competitions through Soul Surf.
